FLIP Topic 1 - Different type of infographics and online tools 

For individual task, we are required to pick one free online infographic tool and re-design one poorly constructed infographic poster through your own experimentation with the selected tool. 

I used Canva as my online infographic tool, and I re-designed the infographic poster shown below.

However, I was dissatisfied with the outcome because I believe that the poster before I redesign it was not all that bad. As a result, I chose another poster.

Difficulty, intuitiveness
Canva is simple to use because all of the elements are labelled and easy to find. 
Rating: 4/5

Usefulness
Canva is a useful tool for both designers and non-designers, in my opinion. Canva also includes a wide range of elements and shapes. 
Rating: 4/5

Design templates, choices
Canva provided a wide range of design templates. Not only that, but Canva offers a plethora of colour palettes and decorative fonts. However, there are still limitations in Canva. Some shapes and elements, for example, would not be able to change direction or colour.
Rating: 3.5/5

FEEDBACK

Week 1
Group Presentation:

  • stick to 1 narrative style
  • variety of different infographic is abundant
  • straightforward and easy to understand

Week 3
Group Presentation: 
  • current best presentation 
  • good break down on the importances
  • good to include the methods of chunking 
  • good examples chosen
REFLECTION

I learned a lot from the different topics in the FLIP classroom. This allows me to have a better understanding of information selection and arrangement.
