REFLECTION

Experience:
I would describe my experience of these 14 weeks as a ride on a roller coaster. There are ups and downs throughout the process of completing this module. This module definitely taught me a lot. After taking this module, I also became even more interested in typography. Besides, I'd like to thank Mr. Vinod for being with us for the entire 14-week learning journey. I am grateful that I learned a lot from his advice and also "grew up" after that. Last but not least, despite the fact that the deadlines are stressful, they serve as motivation for me to complete all of the tasks.

Observations:
Over the semester of 14 weeks, I observed a decrease in the number of students. This module is definitely not easy, and some of them may be unable to handle all of the workloads. In addition, I've observed that type exploration is very interesting, and I enjoy it a lot. I've also noticed that students have a lot more freedom in creating whatever they want in advanced typography compared to the typography module. For the majority of the tasks, students can select the theme or work on the idea they want.

Findings:
I found out that to me, the most difficult part of this module could be the poster design. I spent the majority of my time exploring the idea of poster design. Recalling back, I did struggle a lot in designing the posters in tasks 2B and 3. Besides, I found out that many ideas are from our daily life. As we have to decide on what we want to work on for task 3, I found out that I pay more attention to the typography around me. After two semesters of learning typography, I discovered that I am able to detect the problems in "bad typography".
